NV Offers FREE Meals to Students for 24-25

We are excited to announce that the Newark Valley Central School District will once again offer free meals to our students through the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs in the 2024-2025 school year!  All enrolled NV students will receive breakfast and lunch each school day at no cost to you.  No further action is required for you to participate in these meal programs.

While we are able to provide meals for each student in our district, we kindly ask that all families complete an income application.  The application is kept confidential and your participation in this process helps our district qualify for additional funding that supports various educational initiatives and resources.  Without the data from these applications, the district will not qualify for other funding sources.  You can find the income application here: https://www.rockoncafe.org/Downloads/2024-25%20NV%20CEP%20Application.pdf

Students will still need to pay for snack items, ice cream, and extra food, as just breakfast and lunch are covered in the above mentioned programs.  Funds can be added for these purchases using an EZSchoolPay Account.  More information about EZSchoolPay can be found here: https://www.rockoncafe.org/Downloads/EZSchoolPay2022-2.pdf

Cash or check can also be used in the school cafeteria to add funds without the online convenience fee.

Menus and more information about RockOn Cafe Food and Nutrition can be found on our district website under Departments → Food Services here:  https://www.rockoncafe.org/newarkvalley_home.aspx

We thank you for your continued support!

NV Announces "Blueprint for Excellence"

Dear Members of the Newark Valley School District Community,

It has never been more important to be focused, aligned and intentional in our work. We are very excited to share the results of our collaborative efforts to develop plans that will help us to continue growing and improving as we always strive for excellence. Our “Blueprint for Excellence” is the result of planning sessions that were held with our Board of Education, leadership team, staff, parents, and community members. We worked with feedback gathered from the community as we developed a plan that will help us continue to grow and
achieve as we strive for excellence in all that we do. This plan will be the backbone for our work. It will serve as a roadmap in our efforts to connect with each child and family while enhancing our connections as a school and a community. We’re in this work together and look forward to being your teammate in our continued effort to be a model school of excellence. Thank you for your feedback and support. Your collaboration and teamwork make all the difference in the lives of children and the success of the district. Click here to read the Blueprint for Excellence

Sincerely,
