Newark Valley wrestling coach Eric D'Arcy is already a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, but now he is being recognized much closer to home, as Section IV Athletics announced on X (formerly known as twitter) that he would be part of the Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

D'Arcy led the Cardinals to their first Interscholastic Athletic Conference (IAC) championship in wrestling since 2017. The Cardinals also had two individual wrestlers make it to the NYSPHSAA State Tournament, Trevor Middendorf and Austin DeBolt. Middendorf also went on to finish in third place in the 124-pound bracket.
