Congratulations to Jake Armstrong who was named the ESPN fueling excellence athlete of the week. Armstrong recently pitched a no –hitter against Candor that resulted in 18 strikes. Armstrong said he didn’t realize he was on his way to a no-hitter until a teammate told him.
“I was nervous, extremely nervous,” he said. “I just thought about throwing the right pitches and I did it.”
