Animals in Class
In the last few week students studying agriculture at Newark Valley Central School District have had some special visitors. In the middle school, students are learning about farm animals. At the beginning of October Lawton Dairy brought in a jersey calf and last week 2020 graduate Joree Gregrow brought in Blu, a 3-month-old Nubian goat.
Students were shown how to properly handle and monitor health signs of these animals. These activities have been led by Miranda Palmer a student teacher from Oswego State.
