NV Carpentry Student Helps Build Home for Habitat for Humanity
Newark Valley High School senior Dan Cieri was one of several BOCES carpentry students who helped build a home for Habitat for Humanity. The organization's goal is to build homes for families who are in financial need.

Dan and his classmates raised the first wall on Tuesday, and will continue building the structure of the home, located at 6 Linda Dr., Binghamton, near the BOCES campus. Later, BOCES plumbing and electrical students will add wiring and water connections.

Habitat for Humanity has built 26 homes for financially burdened families. The organization’s partnership with BOCES began in 2016. This latest build is located directly next door to another home that was completed by BOCES students.

We are so proud of Dan's hard work, and we look forward to seeing the final product!
