Each year, SUNY Broome hosts an annual robotics competition called the SUNY Broome and Eastern Southern Tier STEM Hub Robotics Challenge, inviting teams from schools all across the region to come in and show off their robotics skills. This year's event, which took place on Tuesday, April 16, was the 14th annual competition.
This year, for the first time ever, Newark Valley High School participated in the event, sending a quartet of students to the competition to show off what they've learned. The team was made up of one senior, Aiden Klingle; a sophomore, Zech Lavine; and two freshmen, Matthew Fitzgerald and Zach Klingle.
The Newark Valley team was one of 14 different schools that participated in the day-long event in Binghamton.
