This week the Newark Valley High School’s Agriculture program partnered up with 6th grade students to celebrate Earth Week by planting trees! Students from the Environmental Science, Intro to Agriculture, and Horticulture classes mentored students from the middle school in the planting of over 500 trees. Trees were planted at Alexander Pond where the Agriculture Program has worked to establish a small Christmas tree farm over the past 5 years.
