Newark Valley Blended Learning

Blended Learning at Newark Valley

Newark Valley High School is in its second year offering Blended Learning to our students in grades 9-12.  The Blended Learning Program encompasses eight educational disciplines where students engage in an online course(s) that is built into their schedule as a regularly slated class where credit is earned accordingly. The online learning takes place in the Blended Learning Lab on either a desk top computer or laptop. Students participate in the online course(s) at a minimum of once every four days up to every day, schedule permitting. Students without permitting schedules, may participate in an online course(s) independent of the school day.

All of the Blended Learning courses are taught by Newark Valley Central School District teachers who are accessible to the students via messaging through the online program, during their prep periods, and before or after school. Technical issues are addressed by the assisting computer lab aide.
